Many countries sell wrapper or a single leaf type rather than a finished national style. Ignore them and modern blends become unreadable.

  • Mexico, San Andrés — a core dark maduro wrapper.
  • Ecuador — cloud shade; Connecticut-seed and Sumatra-seed wrappers with fine oil.
  • Connecticut River Valley — a historic home of Shade and Broadleaf; costly, limited acres.
  • Cameroon and Central Africa — classic spicy wrappers; politics and weather make supply jumpy.
  • Indonesia — Sumatra and Java wrapper and filler, plus local cigar traditions.
  • Brazil — Mata Fina and other sweet-earth leaves.
  • Peru, Colombia, Panama, the Philippines — smaller shares or historical roles.

Europe appears more often as a trading or machine-made tradition, or as a company’s registered address—not as an Alpine tobacco field.
